Gabeba Baderoon — Assistant Professor of Women’s Studies and African and African American Studies. Dr. Baderoon does research on representations of Islam in South Africa and representations of women, gender and sexualities. She is also a widely published poet. She received her Ph.D. in English from The University of Cape Town.
Jennifer Wagner-Lawler — Associate Professor of Women’s Studies and English. Dr. Wagner-Lawlor comes to us from the University of Memphis where she served as interim vice provost for undergraduate programs, Director of the Center for Research on Women, and Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Programs. Her research interests are on utopian literature, women’s speculative fiction, and utopianism. She is teaching the honors section of introduction to women’s studies. She received her Ph.D. in English Literature from Yale University.
Jacqueline Reid-Walsh — Curriculum and Instruction and Women’s Studies. Dr. Reid-Walsh specializes in girls’ studies with a focus on girl culture and literature. She was most recently at McGill University. She received her Ph.D. in English Literature from McGill University. She has written numerous books and articles on girls and girl culture.
